HIPs finally rolled out to include all house sales - 29th November 2007

The Government have this month announced that Home Information Packs (HIPs) will now be rolled out to include all residential properties. You cannot now market a house without preparing a HIP in England & Wales.

The packs were introduced initially for 4 bed houses from August and then 3 beds in September. The roll out is now complete with all property sales (residential) falling under the HIP banner.

Many industry figures believe the government is rushing the implementation. Only time will tell.

The market has slowed because of other events and 2008 may well be a rocky time for the housing industry along with the UK economy as a whole.

NOTE: The information is subject to amendments as the Government  alter certain aspects of the regulations in the build up to implementation. Please read our disclaimer.
